Prominent and Well Known man of Barker Community Succumbs to
Heart Failure

Funeral Services for Mr. W. I. ("Billie" Barfield, who fell dead Thursday near
his home in the Barker Community about 6 miles north of here, were conducted
Friday afternoon at Barkers Methodist Church by Rev I. T. Poole of St. Pauls.
Interment was made in the cemetery near the church.

Deceased was about 77 years old and had been in fairly good health all summer.
He made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Russ. He was
well known in the county and had a large number of friend and relatives. The
services were attended by a large crowd and the floral tributes were many and
beautiful.
