CHARLIE W. BARKER

Charlie W. Barker, 72, of Lumberton, Rt. 5, died at his home Monday afternoon
after a lingering illness. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Zion Tabernacle Baptist
church. Burial will be in the Kinlaw cemetery. Rev. W. Robert Holt will
officiate, assisted by Rev. John Poe and Rev. Frank Stegall
. 
Surviving are two sons: William Thomas of Lumberton, Rt. 5, and Lt. Charles
David Barker of Paine A.F. Base, Everett, Washington; two grandchildren; three
brothers, Theodore and Neal of Lumberton, Pink of St. Pauls; five sisters: Mrs.
Lula Griffin, Mrs. Ruby Hardee of Lumberton, Mrs. Ruth Herring, and Mrs. Bertha
Hardee of Loris, S.C. and Mrs. Alice Branch.

The body will be carried to the church an hour before the funeral.
