 MCHOYT BARNES
    ORRUM -- McHoyt Barnes, 67, of Route 1 died Monday in Southeastern 
Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
    He was a farmer and a store owner. Mr. Barnes was a member of Bloomingdale 
Baptist Church.
    A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Floyd Memorial 
Cemetery by the Rev. W.C. Baxley. Arrangements are being handled by Floyd 
Funeral Services of Fairmont.
    Mr. Barnes is survived by a son, Sammy Barnes of Orrum; a daughter, Kathy 
Bullard of Lumberton; two brothers, Jimmy Barnes of Orrum and Charles Barnes 
of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Laura A. Thorndike and Betty Jo Walters, both of 
Orrum; and four grandchildren.
    The family will receive friends at the home of Sammy Barnes, Route 1, 
Orrum.



Additional Comments:
McHoyt Barnes was the son of Edward Russell Barnes and Katie Leigh Bullock.
He was married to Martha Hardin.
