Mrs. F. E. Baxley of Buie Died Fri-
   day Night – She Was 83 Years Old.
 
   Mrs. F. E. Baxley, aged 83 years,
died Friday night at 11 o’clock at the
home of her son, Mr. Charles C. Bax-
ley, of Buie, with whom she made her
home.  The infirmities of old age and
heart trouble was the cause of her
death.  She had been in bad health for
some time.
   Interment was made in the McNair
cemetery, near Rennert, yesterday
morning at 10 o’clock.  The funeral
was conducted at the grave by Revs.
D. B. Humphrey and W. D. Pridgen. 
   Deceased was a member of Saddle-
tree Baptist church.
   Surviving are 5 children, two sons
and three daughters:  Mrs. D. P.
Blackburn of St. Pauls, Mrs. Sallie
Williford of Saddletree, Mrs. Minnie
Campbell of Buie, Messrs. Charles C.
Baxley of Buie and T. W. Baxley of Red
Springs.  Deceased is also survived by
a number of grandchildren.
