Mrs. Durrie M. Britt

   Mrs. Durrie M. Britt, 71, wife of the late S. F. Britt, died this morning at 
8:30 at the Thompson Memorial hospital, where she had been a patient since 
Saturday following several years of ill health. 
   Funeral services will be held from Hog Swamp Baptist church, of which she 
was a member, Tuesday at 4 p.m. Interment will follow in the church 
cemetery.     
   Mrs. Britt was born in the Hog Swamp section, Lumberton, R. 3. on March 25, 
1873, daughter of the late Thomas and Rebecca Purvis Britt. After her marriage 
she made her home on Route 2, Fairmont, until some four years ago, since which 
time she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Beulah Baxley of Lumberton. 
Mr. Britt died on April 27,1924. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Baxley, 
Mrs. Hinson and Mrs. G. T. Holoman of Moneure; one son, Henry Britt of 
Fairmont, R. 2; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. 
Anna Rhodes of Fairmont, R. 3; one brother, Memphrey Britt of Lumberton, R. 3

Durrie M. Britt was born Apr 25, 1873 and died Feb 12, 1945.
She married Samuel Franklin Britt in 1890.
She was the the daughter of Lewis Thomas Britt and Rebecca Purvis.
