ROBESONIAN: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 1918, PAGE 1.

MR. ATLAS BRITT OF MT. ELIM

Mr. Atlas Britt, an aged citizen of the Mt. Elim section, died at his home
yesterday morning of influenza.  Deceased is survived by his wife and a number
of children.  He was a member of Mr. Elim Baptist Church.


Additional Comments:
ATLAS BRITT: SEPTEMBER 1856 - 09 OCTOBER 1918.

Son of William Britt, Jr., and Eiza Jane Israel, daughter of Anna Phillips and
John Israel, son of Olive Regan and Lemuel Israel.

Married: Isabella Shepherd: 1884, Robeson, North Carolina

Children: William Montgomery, Bart, Kelley, John Henry, Lester, Jessie, and
Raymond Britt.

* 4 unknown children died in the Worldwide Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918, Atlas
Britt and his son Lester Britt died of this terrible Pandemic also.

Burial: Ward Cemetery, Robeson, North Carolina.
