Funeral of Mr. J.W. BUTLER
Rev. L. SASSER of St. Pauls Baptist Church officiated at the funeral of Mr. 
J.W. BUTLER, a native Robesonian, and respected citizen of Hope Mills, who 
died Tuesday of last week at his home there at the age of 72. Funeral and 
interment took place at Rockfish Presbyterian church cemetery in the presence 
of a vast crowd of relatives and friends, deceased being a prominent member of 
Hope Mills Baptist church. The services were conducted by above mentioned in 
the absence of the pastor, Rev C.R. HESTER of our town who could not attend. 
Of the immediate family, deceased is survived by his widow, 4 daughters, viz. 
Mesdames H.J. HALL, J.F. BRADY, and E.T. BERRYMAN of Hope Mills, and L.J. 
LOWRY of Troy, 2 sons, Messrs. J. L. BUTLER of Charlotte and O.C. BUTLER of 
Fayetteville, 1 brother, Mr. John BUTLER; 1 sister, Mrs. A.H. PERRY of Parkton 
and __ grandchildren.
