Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Cheston Branch, 1970 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cheston Branch Cheston Branch, 79, Rt. 2, Lumberton, died suddenly at home around noon Monday. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Biggs Funeral Cahpel conducted by the Rev. D. J. Long and the Rev. Lemuel Lawson. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations may be made as a memorial to the Mt. Elim Baptist Church or a favorite charity. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Lallage Israel Branch; two sons, Hurley and Martin of Lumberton; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Campbell of Kernersville; four brothers, D. T. of Wilmington, Wesley of Lumberton, Robert of Whiteville and Charles, serving in the Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. D. L. Lee of Fairmont, Mrs, E. J. Harden of Farimont and Mrs. Eunice Wooten of Lumberton; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
