Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Mrs. Frances P. Britt, 1929 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mrs Frances P Britt Dies in East Lumberton Succumbs to Long Illness---Funeral This Morning Mrs Frances P Britt, aged 76 years died Wednesday at 2 a. m. of infirmities of age at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs Jake Clewis in East Lumberton, with whom she made her home. She had been in bad health for several years and though not confined to bed all the time, she had been confined to the house for about 6 months and her death was not unexpected. Funeral services were conducted from East Lumberton Baptist Church this morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. E. A. Paul pastor of the church and interment was made in the Ward Cemetery near Mt Eliam Church. Surviving are 6 daughters-----Mrs Jake Clewis, Mrs Nellie Burney, of East Lumberton. Mrs Maud Walters of Lumberton, Mrs Minnie Cox of Orrum, Mrs Zula Hardy of High Point, Mrs Cora Hendren of Allenton. 3 sons---Messrs Rev and John Britt of East Lumberton and W.S. Britt of Bladenboro; 1 brother---Mr John Walters of Barnesville. Mrs Britt was a member of Mt Eliam Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Mr T. G. Britt who preceeds her to the grave about 8 years ago.
