Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Joel Dawson Bullock, 1930 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Last Rites Held for Mr. J. D. Bullock Fairmont, Jan 20. --- Mr. J. D. Bullock died Friday Morning, January 17, at 6 o'clock, following a week's illness. Mr. Bullock was able to walk down town but he never completely recovered from an automobile wreck which occurred July 4, 1928, between Conway and Myrtle Beach, and which resulted in the death of his son Troy Bullock. Deceased was 62 years old, was a faithful member of Baltimore Baptist church and his pastor, Dr. T. H. Pleminons, conducted his funeral in the church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment was made in the Arthur Bullock cemetery. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following daughters and sons: Mrs. J. L. Lovett of Rocky Mount, Mrs. Elwood Sessoms of Lumberton, Miss Esther Bullock and Messrs, Morley and Carl Bullock of Fairmont; three sisters----Mrs. Byrd, Mrs. Walters and Miss Bullock---and one brother, Mr. Arthur Bullock, all of Fairmont and vicinity. He was the son of Merideth Bullock born Jun 7, 1825 died Apr 27, 1904 and Maranza Ann Hedgepeth born Aug 12, 1832 died Aug 13, 1907. He was married to Edna V.
