Sad Death of Loveable Woman
 
"Our community was grieved on Sunday to learn of the death of Miss Amanda 
Caddell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Caddell, of the Turn Out section.  
 
This lovable Christian woman attended the previous Sabbath services at Oak 
Grove M. E. Church, of which she had been for several years a devoted member, 
and that night was stricken down with pneumonia, from which she died on 
Saturday night following at 10:30.   

One Sabbath in God's earthly sanctuary, and the next in the beautiful courts 
of the Heavenly city, for she was a gentle, humble, Christian, as was 
evidenced in her Godly life and conversation,  and her sweet, sunshining 
nature.   The aged parents, four sisters and three brothers, mourn the 
separation,  while the whole community join in sympathy for the loss of one 
who was a general favorite."

Christian Amanda Caddell, born Aug 1857 in Moore County, North Carolina, 
daughter of William Green Caddell and Christian Ann Douglas Caddell, died 29 
Jun 1907 in Shoe Heel Township, Robeson County, North Carolina. Buried in the 
Old Caddell Family Cemetery, Robeson County. This Cemetery is presently owned 
by Thomas McIntyre Caddell of Salisbury, N.C., a descendant of William and 
Christian Caddell.
