B. Carlyle Dead The Fayetteville Observer of Wednesday contains the following, which will be read with regret by many throughout the county. The remains of Mr. A B Carlyle, who died at his home near the Rozier community in Robeson County Monday afternoon after three days illness, with paralysis of the tonsels, were brought here yesterday, and the funeral took place at the home of Mrs R. B. Watson on Ramsey Street yesterday afternoon at 8 o'clock conducted by Rev. A J Hall, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Carlyle who was 42 years of age is survived by his wife who was Miss Annie Watson of this city, and a brother Mr. John Carlyle, who resides near Rozier. Mrs. Carlyle has the sympathy of many friends here in her bereavement. Additional Comments: Alex B Carlyle was born Jul 18, 1862 and died near the Rozier community, Robeson County Nov 6, 1905. He was married to Annie Watson from Columberland county, NC He was the son of Andrew Carlyle and Sarah Mercer.
