Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine Chavis, 39, of Red Springs, who died Sept. 
2 in her home, will be Sunday at 3p.m. from the Cherokee Chapel Church. The 
Rev. Julian Ransom will officiate at the services, with the Rev. C.M. Cummings 
assisting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Locklear of Shannon; two sons, Randy 
Dial and Lacy Duet Dial, both of Pembroke; one granddaughter; seven brothers, 
Joe Chavis of Pembroke, Zake Chavis, Freddy Chavis, Winfred Chavis, and Wade 
Chavis, all of Wakulla, James Chavis of Red Springs and Linwood Chavis of 
Detroit; six sisters, Mrs. Dallie Jacobs of Maxton, Mrs. Viler Jane Chavis and 
Mrs. Nathan McMillan, both of Red Springs, Mrs. Elmer Pierce of Greensboro, 
Mrs. Irene Jacobs of Pembroke and Mrs. Charlie Bullard of Columbia, S.C.

Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Revel’s Funeral Home.
