Lumberton Robesonian: John Clark, a Croatan, who lives about eight miles west of
town, had one of his children burned to death last Tuesday night. All of the
older children were out of the house, and the little boy, about 5 years old, was
playing with the stove. His clothes caught and before any one could reach him
the flames were in his face and it is thought that he sucked fire into his
lungs. He lived only a few hours.
