Mr. Giles Davis

Well Known Citizen of Raft Swamp Section Died Last Night--Funeral Tomorrow 
Morning.

   Mr. Giles Davis, well known citizen of Robeson County died last night at 
12:15 o'clock at the home of his son Mr. Everett Davis, of the Raft Swamp 
section. Mr. Davis suffered a stroke of paralysis February 3rd from which he 
never recovered, it being the cuse of his death.
   Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock and interment 
will be made in the family burying ground ner Raft Swamp church conducted by 
Rev. W. D. Pridgen of Bladenboro. Deceased was a member of Oak Grove church and 
a good man. Surviving are his widow and 9 children. Mr. and Mrs. Davis made 
their home with their son, Mr. Everett Davis.

He was married to Henrietta  ?.
Henrietta was born Nov 13, 1850 and died Jun 26, 1931.
Giles Davis was the son of James P Davis born Jan 5, 1818 died Mar 17, 1891 and 
Elizabeth P Small born Sep 17, 1819 and died Jan 4, 1909.
