Funeral services for Mr. W. Haywood Faulk, 70, one of lower Robeson county's most prominent farmers who succumbed early yesterday morning to an illness of many months, are being conducted this afternoon at the home about 6 miles south of Fairmont, Interment will be made in the family burying ground near the home. Deceased was considered one of the most successful farmers of his section and was untiring in his efforts for the betterment of the community in which he lived. He was continually behind every movement for better schools and churches. He was twice married, his first wife being Miss. Sarah Andrews, who died several years ago. To this union five boys were born, all of whom survive, and are Mr. John of Latta, Mr. Walter of Evergreen, Mr. George of McDonald, Mr. Marvin of Lumberton, and Mr. Wade, who lives at the home place. Deceased's second wife was Miss Jensie Turner, who with one son, Mr. Carl Faulk, also survives him. Others surviving are three sisters--Mrs. John Floyd of Lumberton; Mrs. Smith Adkins of Birmingham, and Mrs. John Phillips of Rowland, and one brother, Mr. Von Faulk of Omaha, Ga. Additional Comments: William Haywood Faulk was born Mar 18, 1857 and died Apr 28, 1926. He was the son of Hinnant Faulk Sr born 1794, died Apr 3, 1872 and Helen Walters born Oct 19, 1832 and died Nov 17, 1909.
