Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Mrs. Fannie Rhodes Floyd, 1947 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rites Today For Mrs W. A. Floyd Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Rhodes Floyd, 68 wife of W.A. Floyd of Orrum, Route 1, were set to be held from Broad Ridge Baptist church, of which she was a member, today (Wednesday) at 4 p.m. by Rev. E.A. Paul. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Floyd died at her home in Broad Ridge community yesterday afternoon following a long illness. She was born in Robeson County on Nov. 17, 1878, daughter of the late David and Adeline Shepherd Rhodes. Surviving are her husband: one son, Crosby Floyd of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Ludlum of Lumberton, R. 2, and Mrs. Austin Fields of Evergreen; three brothers, H. B. Rhodes of Fairmont, R. 2, B. R. Rhodes of Orrum, R. 1, and Dock Rhodes of Whiteville; and 15 grandchildren. From the contributor: Frances "Fannie" Rhodes was born Nov 28, 1878 and died Apr 22, 1947. On Mar 27, 1898 she married William Alexander Floyd.
