Jasper Grimsley

   Fairmont---Jasper Grimsley, 80, died Monday night at his home near Fairmont, 
following a lingering illness.
   Survivors include five sons, Ernest of Lumberton and Sanford, James, Cager, 
and Robert, all of Fairmont, route 2; two daughters, Mrs. Sandy Jenkins of 
Lumberton, Route 3, and Mrs. Hamilton Duncan of Fairmont, route 2.  His wife 
the former Miss Mary Sue Griffen of the Fairmont community, died several years 
ago.
   Funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 at Prevatte Funeral 
Home in Fairmont and burial will be in Floyd Memorial Cemetery.  Rev. C. P. 
Herring will be in charge.

From the contributor: Thomas Jasper Grimsley was born Dec 29, 1967 and died Aug 
29, 1955. He married Mary Susan Griffen on June 28, 1888. She was born Nov 27, 
1867 and died May 4, 1945.
Thomas Jasper was the son of Lewis Grimsley and Helen Walters.
