Hardin Fairmont -- Harley Dayton Hardin, 71, of Rt. 2, died Saturday. Funeral services are being conducted today at 3 p. m. at Bethesda Methodist Church by the Rev. paul Bunn, assisted by the Rev. R. I Epps. Burial is to be in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, the former Donna Belle Sellers Hardin; three sons, Gilbert of Raleigh, Gena and Lambert Hardin, both of Rt. 2, Fairmont; two daughters, Mrs. J. Thomas Hardy Jr. of Maury; brothers Fentrice of Fairmont and Grover of Rt. 2, Fairmont. He was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church and served it as secretary- treasurer for the past 25 years. He was a veteran of World War I. Pallbearers are Rembert Parker, Carl L. Britt, John P Sellers, Olin Johnson, Badger, David and Rexford Parker. Mrs. Perry Leggett and Mrs. Rembert Parker werre in charge of flowers assisted by the Sanford Jenkins Circle. Howard Brittain was organist and soloist was Mrss Susie McDaniel. He was buried at Bethesday Methodist Church in Barnesville, NC.
