Elias M. Harrington

   Fairmont -- Elias Milton Harrington, 82, farmer of South Robeson, where he 
had spent his entire life, died of a heart ailment on Friday night at the home 
of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Ivey of Fairmont, route 1.

   Survivors are two sons, Paul Harrington, route 1, Fairmont, and L.B. 
Harrington, Newman, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Ivey, Mrs. John R. Gofle, 
both of Charleston, S.C.  Mrs. Hoyt Andrews of Baltimore, Md.; 18 
grandchildren, one brother, A.W. Harrington, of Marietta.

   For 25 years, Mr. Harrington was a memeber of the South Robeson School 
Board.  He was a Woodman of the World and a member of the Olivet Methodist 
church.
   
   Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Oakdale Baptist 
Churhc and burial burial was in the Harrington Family Cemetery.

Elias Milton Harrington was born Jun 15, 1875 and died May 2, 1958.
He was married to Kittie McQueen Powell, she was born Sep 13, 1875 and died Dec 
28, 1953.
He was the son of Charles Turner Harrington born May 12, 1827 Lee County, NC 
died Jul 28, 1897 and Ellen Jane Yates born Oct 4, 1837 and died Jan 9, 1937.
