MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, 1955

Funeral service for Mrs. Appie Howell of Lumberton, route 1, who died in Robeson
County Memorial hospital at 2 a.m. Saturday at the age of 94, was conducted in
Ten Mile Baptist church at 4 p.m. Sunday by Rev. S.N. Dorton, pastor. Burial was
in the church cemetery.

Surviving are a son, Rufus Howell of Lumberton, and a daughter, Mrs. Carl Britt
of Lumberton, route 1. 

Pallbearers were Tom Howell, Tully Howell, Claude Howell, James Hendrix, and
Earl Hendrix.
