She was in her 28th year. She joined Antioch Baptist Church in 1890 and was baptized by Rev. H. Lennon. She was married to Mr. B. E. Britt December 10, 1899. Her life was comparativeloy short, yet she lived long enough to exhibit to the world the example of a true, pious Christian life, which is the best legacy on can leave this world. We should all strive not to leave less of material things to bless the world, but more of a benign, Christian influence. She was respectful to parents, true to her church and it’s services, a loving, tender wife and an affectionate mother. She leaves behind a husband, a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss, and a little child, whose love is irreplaceable. Her funeral was conducted by the writer, after which her remains were interred in the family burying ground. One less home! The charmed circle broken, a dear face Missed day by day from it’s accustomed place: But cleasned and saved and perfected by grace One more in Heaven! One less at home One voice of welcome hushed and evermore, One farewell word unspoken; on the shore, Whose parting comes not, one soul landed more.
