Robeson County, NC - Obituary of J. Redmond Ivey, 1945 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Redmond Ivey Rites To Be Held Saturday Funeral services for J. Redmond Ivey, 65, who died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday at 5 p.m. at his home on Orrum, R. 1. will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Orrum Baptist Church, of which he was a very active member. Rev. I.P. Hedgpeth, pastor will be in charge of the rites, and interment will be in the Ivey cemetery near Orrum. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Britt Ivey; 5 daughters---Mrs. Leonard Cupp and Mrs. Haywood Heath of Lumberton, Mrs. Paul Parham of Orrum, Miss Hazel Ivey of Conway, S.C., and Miss Wynona Ivey of the home; one son-- J.R. Ivey jr. of the home. From the contributor: John Redmond Ivey was born Apr 25, 1880 and died Nov 22, 1945. He was married to Emma Britt born Oct 4, 1895 died Aug 13, 1978. John Redmond Ivey was the son of Henry William Ivey born Jan 2, 1846 died Oct 31, 1913 and Elizabeth Walters born Aug 1845 died Oct 15, 1904.
