John Henry Johnson

   Fairmont--John Henry Johnson, 76, of Orrum, died Tuesday at 11 P.M. in 
Southeastern General Hospital, Lumberton, where he had been ill for three weeks.
   A native of Robeson county, Mr. Johnson was the son of the late John Henry 
and Martha Britt Johnson. He was a former mayor of Orrum and a former chairman 
of the Orrum School board. He was a Mason.
   The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 3 P.M. at Orrum Baptist Church 
with the pastor, Rev. D.L. Holland officiating. Burial will be in Floyd 
Memorial cemetery.
   Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Boynton Johnson; his daughters, Mrs 
Bradley Thompson of Lumberton, Mrs. Lester Tyner of Kinston, and Mrs. James L 
Flemister of Atlanta Ga; his brothers, John Bunyan Johnson of Fairmont and 
Herman C. Johnson of Roanoke Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Cattie Walters of Route 1 
Orrum: six grandchildren and on great grandchild.
   Pallbearers will be Carl Nye, Roscoe Lawson, L.S. Ivey, Rembert Parker, Jack 
Teague and Steve Stone.
   Flowers will be in of Mrs. Hazel Walters and Mrs. Caroline Lovell, assisted 
by members of the Women's Missionary Society of the Orrum church. Music will be 
in charge of Mrs. Carl Nye.

John Henry Johnsor Jr was born Aug 26, 1885 and died Sep 5, 1961. He was 
married to Catherine Boynton.
He was the son of John Henry Johnson and Martha Ann Britt.
