J. J. Johnson

   Fairmont -- Funeral services for Joe James Johnson, 62, of Shannon, Rt.1, 
will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Prevatte Funeral Chapel in 
Fairmont, with Rev. A.P. Stephens of Lumberton officiating. Burial will be in 
the Fairmont cemetery. Mr. Johnson died Tuesday in Southeastern General 
Hospital, Lumberton. 
   Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sallie Rowell Johnson; four sons, Harvey 
Johnson, Jr, of Fairmont, Rt. 1, Albert Earl Johnson of Lumberton and Rayford 
Lee Johnson of Lumberton, and Bobby Johnson of Shannon; five daughters, Mrs. 
Joceil Allen of Greensboro, Mrs. Willie Lewis, Mrs. Shellie Jean Baxley and 
Miss Betty Carol Johnson of Lumberton, and Mrs. Grace Lee of Omaha, Neb.; two 
brothers, Roy Johnson of Camden, S.C., and Coen Johnson of Fairmont, Rt.; one 
sister, Mrs. Blanche Johnson of Little Rock, S.C. Mr. Johnson was the son of 
the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Johnson.

From the Contributor: Joe James Johnson was born May 4, 1898 Robeson County, NC 
and died Jan 14, 1960 Robeson County. He was the son of Richard Johnson born 
March 25, 1855 and died Sep 4, 1944. His mother is unknown at this time.
