Howard Kinlaw, 42, died at 2 o’clock this morning at Baker hospital as the
result of the motorcycle accident. The accident occurred on the Tar Heel road,
five miles from Lumberton. Kinlaw, the only person riding the machine, was
thrown from it when a dog ran into its path.

He died from head injuries. He was a veteran of World War II, and had served in
the Army for three years.
