Mary Eliza Atkinson Leggett

Mrs Wright Leggett, of rural route No. 2, died last Wednesday after a short 
illness and was buried next day at the family grave yard. It will be 
remembered that Mrs. Leggett had her leg taken off at the Thompson Hospital 
in Lumberton, no long since. She had entirely recovered from the operation 
but succumbed to an attach of septic fever, leaving a tiny infant and large 
family of children and a faithful husband to mourn their loss.

Mary Eliza Atkinson was born 14 Mar 1869 and died 1 Sep 1909. She was the 
daughter of Hybert Atkinson and Appy Ophelia Thompson and married Wright 
Leggett 26 Dec 1887.
