Last Friday night at his home near Fairmont, Mr Warren Lewis died after an illness of only a week. Mr Lewis had been in failing health for some time and his death was not unexpected. He was a confederate veteran, about 77 years old. He leaves a widow, a large family of children and grandchildren to mourn their loss, besides several brothers and sisters, and a host of friends, who did all in their power to alleviate his suffering. Mr Lewis was never pretentious. The remains were buried Sunday morning in the Fairmont Cemetery, after a funeral service at the Baptist church by pastor, Rev J. R. Miller.
