Miss Lorena Lewis, 58 years old, died at her home in Fairmont Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock after protract- ed illness. Deceased was actively engaged in the millinery business in Fairmont for several years; being favorably known throughout that entire section. A few months ago, after she suffer- ed a slight stroke of paralysis, she was forced to discontinue her busi- ness, and remained under the care of physicians until the end. The remains were interred at Whiteville, Columbus county, her na- tive home, Saturday afternoon. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mol- lie Regan, who lived with deceased for some time prior to her death, and Mr. Frank Lewis, a prominent citi- zen of Whiteville. She was the daugh- ter of the late Richard M. and Claris- sa Rozier Lewis.
