Fayetteville Observer, Wed March 29, 1843
   SUDDEN DEATH.-A worthy elderly citizen of Robeson county, named John Lewis, 
suddenly fell dead in the Court yard at Lumberton yesterday afternoon.  He had 
been complaining a little for a day or two, but was serving on the Grand Jury; he 
fell, and expired with a single gasp.
