A. Little. Correspondence of The Robesonian. Rex, June 16 – Mr. J. A. Little, a Confederate veteran, passed to his reward last Thursday night, June 11th, at his home near Rex, in the 79th year of his age. He had been suffering for some time with heart trouble and death was not unexpected. He bore his sufferings with patience, and expressed, while of his bed no fear of death. Interment was made in the family burying ground Friday p. m., the funeral being conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. McI. Wicker of St. Paul’s. He leaves 4 children – Mrs. W. E. Smith of Hope Mills, A. M. G. and J. G. Little and Mrs. J. F. Pittman of Rex – and one sister, Mrs. Flora J. Powell of Fayetteville. Our sympathies go out to sorrowing friends.
