Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Mae Bullock Leggett, 1963 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mrs. Mae Leggett Fairmont – Mrs. Mae Bullock Leggett, 72, of Fairmont, Rt. 2, widow of Cleveland M. Leggett, died Tuesday night in Southeastern General Hospital, Lumberton, after an illness of several months. A native of Robeson county, she was a daughter of the late Clarence H. Bullock and Mrs. Alice Smith Bullock. Surviving are two sons, C.M. Leggett, Jr. of Fairmont, Rt.2, and Carlos Leggett of Fairmont, Rt, 3; four daughters, Mrs. William Britt and Mrs. Carlton Bullock of Fairmont, Rt. 2, Mrs. Willie Sealey of Orrum, Rt.1, and Mrs. James Bennett of Paris, Ill.; one brother, Sherwood Bullock of Raeford; and one sister Mrs. Retha B. Hammonds of Lumberton. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Barnesville Baptist Church of which she was a member, by the pastor, Rev. E.P. Lockamy, a former pastor of the church. Burial will be in the Leggett family cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bracey Leggett, Thomas Leggett, V.H. Bullock, Jr., Neal Bullock, Dewey Inman, and Jack Nye. Mrs. Eunice McCammon will be in charge of the flowers, assisted by the women of the church.
