BALTIMORE, Md. – Mrs. Rosa Williams McArthur, daughter of the late Rev. and 
Mrs. E.C. Williams, died Wednesday in Baltimore, Md. The body is being 
returned to McMillan Funeral Home in Lumberton and funeral services will be 
held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Sandy Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. O.M. 
Graham. Burial will follow in the Alligator Cemetery. 

Mrs. McArthur, a native of Lumberton, for several years taught in the Hilly 
Branch School in Robeson County and for several years she has taught in the 
Barclay Elementary School in Baltimore, Md. Mrs. McArthur received her post-
secondary training at Fayetteville State University, North Carolina Central 
University, Morgan State University and John Hopkins University. 

She is survived by two sons, Sylvester McArthur, Jr. and Donald McArthur of 
Baltimore, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Joyce McArthur Smith of Columbia, Md.; a 
brother, Clarence Williams of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Ernestine 
Bates of Baltimore, Md. and Mrs. Irene Taylor of Lumberton; five 
grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at McMillan Funeral Home.
