Mrs. F. Q. Meares Claimed By Death.

Mrs. Annie Taylor Meares, 50, wife of F. Q. Meares died at her home on Rt. 5, 
just outside Lumberton on the Wilmington highway this morning at 1:40 after an
illness of eight months that had kept her confined to bed most of the time.

She was a native of Robeson county and was born on August 19, 1885, daughter of
the late Stephen Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at East Lumberton Baptist Church
of which she was a member, with Rev. J. W. Meares in charge. Interment will be
in the New Hollywood Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, 5 sons,, Pfc. Franklin C. Meares of Ft. Bragg, Authur
of Lumberton, R. 1, and L. A. , Stephen R. and Norman Meares of Rt. 5: one
daughter, Mrs. L. J. Player of Lumberton, and two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Clewis and
Mrs. Lucy Davis of Lumberton.

Married: Franklin Quitman "Quit" Meares 04 Mar 1905 at the home of Stephen
Taylor & Mosley Ann Pittman.

Children: Authur Earl, Luther Abner, Clara Mae, Franklin Clifton, Annie Ruth,
Stephen Rudolph, and Norman Rudolph Meares.

Lee Pittman & Mary Jane Israel, And, Stephen Taylor son of Willis Taylor &

Pittman & Elizabeth "Betsy" Glare, daughter of Stephen & Mary Glare.
Willis Taylor was the son of Lemuel Taylor & Elizabeth Phillips daughter of
Jordan Phillips & Hester Lee.
