Friday, FUNERAL TODAY FOR N.A. MERCER WIDELY-KNOWN FARMER OF REGAN’S CHURCH COMMUNITY PASSES Funeral services for N.A. Mercer, 65, widely known farmer of Lumberton, R.1, who died Wednesday night at his home, will be conducted at 4 p.m. today (Friday) from Regan’s Methodist church, in which he was a steward, by the pastor, Rev J.W. Harrell. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. Deceased was a prominent citizen of the Regan’s community, in which he was born and reared. His death, following illness of about a year, occurred on his 65th birthday. Surviving are his widow; 7 sons, James, of Albemarle, Charles, a student at Louisburg, David, Edwin, Robert, N.A. Jr. and Eugene; 3 daughters, Misses Elizabeth, Mary Lois and Mamie Ruth; one brother, A.B. Mercer of Alma, Ga., 2 sisters, Mrs. H.L. Andrews of Lumberton and Mrs. Emma B. Herring of Lumberton, R. 1. Mr. Mercer was a nephew of Mrs. J.H. Floyd of Lumberton and a brother of the late Rev. S.E.
