He had been confined to bed since last June and in a critical condition for days past . He was born in the Tolarsville section of Robeson county on Nov. 17, 1863, son of the late Richard and Martha Musselwhite. In 1904 he was married to the former Miss Ellen Smith, who died on Jan. 12, 1945. Surviving are five daughters, Miss Eva Musselwhite of the home, Mrs. Phil Walker of High Point, Mrs. T.V. Baker, Jr. of Lumberton, Mrs. Vance Ausband of Albermarle and Mrs. Woody Anderson of Tarboro; one brother, Luther Musselwhite of St. Pauls, R.1: two sisters, Mrs. Lummie Powers of Lumberton, R.1, and Mrs. B.C. broom of Clinton; and four grandchildren, Sally and Susan Ausband, Martha Ellen and Woody Anderson, Jr. Funeral services will be conducted from Stephens Funeral home Wednesday at 4 p.m. by Dr. Fred W. Paschall of Laurinburg, former pastor of Chestnut Street Methodist church, of which Mr. Musselwhite was a member, assisted by his pastor, Rev. H.L. Hendricks, and Rev. I.P. Hedgpeth. Interment will be in Meadowbrook cemetery.
