The Semi-Weekly ROBESONIAN, Friday August 28, 1903
In memoriam of Jerry Daniel ODUM, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. ODUM, who died 
Aug 21st, 1903 aged about 17 years. He was just growing into manhood, when he 
was taken ill with Typhoid Fever. His sufferings lasted only about ten days. 
He leaves a father, mother, six sisters and three brothers, together with a 
host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure from this world to 
another.
IN 1900 he united himself with Raft Swamp Baptist Church and since has lived a 
consistent member. He was kind and affectionate to all his neighbors and 
friends and was loved by all who knew him. We commend the bereft family to Him 
who doeth all things well.
