PEMBROKE – E.O. Oxendine died Wednesday in Southeastern General Hospital. The
funeral will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Union Chapel Community Church with
the Rev. Grover Oxendine and the Rev. Jake Mitchell officiating. Burial will be
in Oxendine cemetery. The body will be at Locklear and Sons Funeral home
Saturday and Sunday. 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Oxendine; his sons, Calton of Pembroke,
Alex of Rowland Route 1, Raymond of Greensboro, Roscoe of Raleigh and Sanford
Oxendine of Laurel Hill; a foster son, George Oxendine of Charleston, S.C., his
daughters, Mrs. Lummie Jane Wynn of Lumberton Route 4, Mrs. Mattie Locklear of
Rennert, Mrs. Nancy Hawkins of Garrett, Va., and Mrs. Frances Phillips of
Richmond, Va.; a foster daughter, Mrs. Lucy Mae Lewis, Pembroke.
