RESOLUTION OF RESPECT

Passed by Lumberton Baptist Church Sunday School In Memory of Henry F. Pitman.

Whereas It has pleased Almighty God, who doeth all things for His own glory and
the good of his creatures, to remove from our midst, our beloved brother and
co-laborer, Henry F. Pitman, who fell on sleep Wednesday, June 6, A. D. 1900,
Therefore, Resolved,
1st. That we bow in submission to the Divine Will of our Heavenly Father, who is
too wise and too good to be unkind, we are deeply sensible of the loss which we
have sustained in the removal from our midst of such a character s that of our
dear departed brother, who was just merging into a manhood of much promise.
2nd. That we extend to the sorrowing parents and family our most sincere
sympathy in their hearts dark hour, and assure them that we are partakers with
them in their sorrows; to his associates for the loss of the influence of his
quiet, modest and faithful walk before them, and to the community for the loss
of a life which had the promise of so much usefulness.
3rd.  That these resolutions be spread upon our Records and a copy furnished to
the family of the deceased, also copies to the Bibical Recorder, N. C. Baptist
Charity and Children and the Robesonian for publication.

Elizabeth "Betsy" Glare, daughter of Stephen and Mary Glare.
