The remains of Mrs. Helen Pittman of Bellamy whose death Sunday at the home of her daughter Mrs. S. C. Pittman, at Waycross, Ga., was mentioned in Monday's Robesonian, were brought tol Lumberton Monday night accompanied by Mrs. S. C. Pittman and her son Mr. J. C. Pittman. They were taken Monday night to the home of Mr. & Mrs. Zack Clewis, a son in law and daughter of the deceased, in East Lumberton, and the funeral took place Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in Wishat's township, where the remains were interred. The service was conducted by Rev. I. P. Hedgpeth. Mrs. S. C. and Mr. J. C. Pittman returned to Lumberton Tuesday afternoon and were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Barker until last evening, when they left for their home in Waycross. Note: Terry Johnson 24 October 2008 Born: Helen Mariah Storm: 01 Dec 1822 to James Storm and Milleachy Wishart. Married: Jordan L. Phillips 27 October 1841. Children of Helen Storm & Jordan L. Phillips are: Susan Caroline Phillips wife of Randolph Pittman and Joanna Louisa Phillps wife of Zachariah Clewis. Jordan L. Phillips died in 1865. 2nd Marriage: 18 May 1871 to Wright Pitman son of Stephen Pittman & Charity Taylor.
