Mrs. Thomas Pittman of East Lumberton- Funeral Yesterday form Home.

Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Pittman, wife of Mr. Thomas Pittman, died Tuesday morning
at 5 o'clock at her home following an illness of 15 months.  Deceased was 50
years old and is survived by her husband, five daughters, Mrs. D. H. Stone, Mrs.
Colon Bryant, Mrs. A. F. Cribbs, Misses Dola and Bertha Pittman and two sons
Messrs. J. W. and A. H. Pittman all of East Lumberton.  Several brothers and
sisters also survive.

The funeral was conducted from the home yesterday at 4 p. m. by Rev. E. A. Paul,
pastor of her Church the East Lumberton Baptist Church, of which deceased was a
life long member.  Interment was made in the Meadowbrook Cemetery.

Deceased was a good woman and will be sorely missed in the community.

Born: 22 March 1871 in the Burnt Islands, Robeson, to Jordan Lee Pittman & Mary
Jane Israel daughter of Molcy Hester & John Israel, son of Lemuel Israel and
Olive Regan, daughter of Richard Regan a 2nd Lt. in the American Revolutinary
War, son of Joseph Regan Jr., son of Joseph Regan, son of Francis Regain, son of
Daniel Regan said to have been born in Tara Cork, Ireland.
And, Jordan Lee Pittman son of Mary Ann Phillips and Rhodes Pittman son of Sion
Pittman & Elizabeth "Betsy" Glare daughter of Stephen & Mary Glare.

Children of Sarah Elizabeth Pittman and Thomas Hayes Pittman are:
James Weldon, Coy Lee, Kay Bertha, Authur Hayes, Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie"
Pittman, Pluma Mae, Addie Jane, Dola, and Carson L. Pittman.

Daughter Dola Pittman was a favorite cousin of my Grandmother, Mary Magdalen
“Maggie” Taylor, daughter of Sarah’s sister Claricy Jane Pittman Taylor, Robert
Terrell Johnson
