Death of Mr. James PREVATT of Back Swamp Township

Mr. James PREVATT. 73 years old died yesterday morning at his home in Back 
Swamp Township, near Back Swamp Baptist Church. He had been in bad health for 
some time. The funeral was conducted this morning from the residence by Rev. 
C. H. Durham, pastor of the First Baptist Church and the remains were interred 
in the family graveyard near the home. Deceased is survived by his wife, four 
daughters—Mesdames Brice SMITH, Warren PREVATT, and Pink BRITT and Miss Emma 
PREVATT—and four sons, Messrs Dock, Oscar, R.R and W. A. PREVATT
]

[Note: James was the son of Wright PREVATT and Anna LAMB, and his wife was 
Frances MITTCHELL, not to be confused with the Rev. James P. PREVATT who was 
married to Penelope BAXLEY
