Floyd Mortuary, Inc., Lumberton, NC
Alice Warwick Prevatte, age 99, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016,
at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in
Robeson County on June 17, 1917. She was formerly employed as a
bookkeeper for Carr Oil Co. and will also be remembered as one of the
charter members of Godwin Heights Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Milton and Viola
Smith Warwick; her first husband, Bill Taylor; her husband, William
Dayton Prevatt; two daughters: Rosalie Faulk and Pattie Wilson; one
brother, Bunyan Warwick; one sister, Eva Davis; and one grandson,
Michael Taylor.

She is survived by two sons: Bill Taylor and wife Flo of Roswell, GA
and Bobby Taylor and wife Leigh of Charleston, SC; one daughter,
Sallie Baxley of Lumberton; two sons-in-law: Hubert Faulk and Coble
Wilson, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and
five great-great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2016,
from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 2:00
PM at Godwin Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Leslie Sessoms and Rev.
Will Milton Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith
Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Godwin Heights Baptist
Church Memorial Fund, 704 Godwin Ave., Lumberton, NC 28358.
