Hybert B. Rhodes

   Hybert Benjamin Rhodes, 79 years old retired farmer, died at his home on 
Lumberton route 1 at 4:30 p.m. Monday. He had been in declining health for the 
past two and one-half years.
   Mr. Rhodes was born in Robeson County, son of the late David R. and Adeline 
Rhodes. The funeral will be held at Prevatte Funeral Home in Fairmont 
Wendnesday at 3 p.m. Rev. Ellis R. Colemon pastor of the West Lumberton Baptist 
church, will officiate; assisted by the Rev. Alford T. Stephens, Mr. Rhodes was 
a member of Bloomingdale Baptist church. Burial will be in the Fairmont 
cemetery. 
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lessie Floyd Rhodes; two sons, William G. 
Rhodes of Bayside, Long Island, NY, and Hybert Rhodes of the home, one 
daughter, Mrs. John Kinlaw of Lumberton route 5, one brother D.R. Rhodes of 
route 1 Orrum.

Additional Comments:
Hybert Benjamin Rhodes was born Nov 11, 1877 and died May 13, 1957. He was the 
son of David Raz Rhodes and Adeline Shepherd.

Hybert Benjamin Rhodes married 1st Jennie Josephine Edwards and 2nd Carrie 
Lessie Floyd.

He is buried in Fairmont Cemetery, Fairmont, NC.
