W. Skipper. Mr. Skipper, who died last week just before our going to press, was born in Marlboro district, S. C., in June, 1841. He was married twice, first to Miss La Vanna Beebe, of Fayetteville, by whom he leaves three children, Messrs. C. B. & W. J. Skipper, and Mrs. C. J. Faulk. His second wife, who survives her husband, was Miss Eliza Beebe, a sister of his first wife. By her he has one daughter, Miss Iney. Mr. Skipper died at the home of his son, Mr. C. B. Skipper, where he had been for several months during a lingering illness. The body was buried in the “Old Cemetery”, the burial services being conducted by Rev. C. H. Durham.
