Smith Claimed By Death St. Pauls Man Dies in Richmond William M. Smith, 50, of St. Pauls, Rt. 1, died Thursday evening at McGuire’s general hospital in Richmond, Va., where he had been taken for treatment of a brain tumor. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Biggs Funeral Home, where the body is expected to arrive Saturday. Interment will be made in Whiteville. The deceased was taken to Fayetteville Veterans hospital Monday and sent to Richmond Wednesday evening. The diagnosis was a possible brain tumor. He is survived by two sisters, Miss Ruth Smith of Wilmington, and Mrs. B.R. Manning of Princess Ann, Va.; and nine brothers, Walter of St. Pauls, Seth L. and David of Whiteville, Claude S. of Lumberton Rt. 5, Dr. R.F. of Newford, S.C., Arthur of Wilmington, Malcolm of Asheville, Edward and Stephen.
