Robeson County, NC - Obituary of Mittie Walters Sealey, 1928 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mrs. John Sealey Was Victim of Auto Accident Died from Injuries Received When She Ran in Front of Car Operated by Mr. Wesley Edwards----Funeral at Home at Barnesville. Mrs. John Sealey of Barnesville, whose death was mentioned in Monday’s Robesonian, was a victim of an automobile accident, according to her husband and Mr. M.W. Edwards of that place, who were in Lumberton Monday. Mrs. Sealey, according to them, Thursday ran in front of an automobile operated by Mr. Wesley Edwards of the Barnesville section, suffering 7 broken ribs and other injuries which resulted in her death Saturday night. Mrs. Sealey was at home at the time of the accident, and in getting out of the way of a mule, probably, got in front of the approaching car and was fatally injured. No blame was attached to the driver of the automobile. Funeral services were conducted from the Sealey home Sunday afternoon at 4 by Rev. F.B. Peele, pastor of Bethesda Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Sealey was a member, and interment was made in the family cemetery near the home. Deceased is survived by her husband and 5 children.
