Robeson Native Dies At Hope Mills.

Mrs. Letitia Taylor, 79, died at the home of her daughter at Hope Mills, Sunday,
and the services were conducted at Hope Mills Monday afternoon.

Before marriage Mrs. Taylor was Miss Letitia Wishart.  She was born and reared
near Allenton in Wishart Township, being a cousin of W. S., J. H. and F. H.
Wishart of Lumberton and an aunt of Dr. W. E. Wishart of Charlotte.

J. H. and F. H. Wishart attended the funeral.

LETITIA JANE WISHART:  26 May 1859 - 30 Jan 1938.

Daughter of John Pickney Wishart & Lucy Ann Meares, daughter of Moses Meares &
Lucia Taylor, sister of Lemuel Taylor, children of Henry Taylor. John Pickney
Wishart was the son of Eli Wishart & Mary Ann Storm.

Married: Zachariah Taylor, 26 May 1859 at Lumberton, North Carolina, son of Mary
"Polly" Ann Pittman & Jack Taylor, son of Lemuel Taylor & Elizabeth Phillips,
daughter of Jordan Phillips & Hester Lee.

Children of Letitia Jane Wishart & Zachariah Taylor are: Wille Meares, Emma D.,
and Mary Ann Taylor.

Zachariah Taylor died in 1900 and is buried in the Eastside Cemetery in
Rockingham, Richmond, North Carolina.

Letitia Jane moved with her daughters and sons in law to Hope Mills.

Burial: Adcock Cemetery, Hope Mills, North Carolina.

Inscription on Headstone reads: Wife of Zachariah Taylor and “She read her Bible
Daily.”
