ROBESONIAN: 29 JULY 1956

Henry Taylor, 84, died this morning about 10:40 at his home, 801 East Eight
Street, Lumberton, after a long illness.

He was twice married, the first time to Miss Rosa Lee McPhail of Lumberton, who
died several years ago; and the second time to Mrs. Janie Taylor of Lumberton
who died about eight years ago.  Surviving are six sons, John Marion Taylor,
agriculture teacher in the Ellerbe school at Ellerbe, W. A. Taylor and Franklin
Taylor of Lumberton, Ralph and Thomas Taylor of Charlotte, and Morris (Pete)
Taylor of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Gertie Israel of the home, Mrs. Mary
Lee Munden and Mrs. Louise Nobles of Lumberton; also 19 grandchildren and six
great grandchilden.  He was a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Henry Taylor of Lumberton.

HENRY TAYLOR

Funeral Services for Henry Taylor, 84, who died Thursday at his home....after an
illness of some time, will be held Saturday afternoon at Cedar Grove Baptist
Church on Seventh Street Road, of which he was a member.  His pastor, Rev. Don
Holland will officiate. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery.

Sessoms, Jim Herring, Jody Monroe, Roy Barr, Horace Rozier, Paul West, Henry
Fisher, Hilton Pittman, and Pittman Barker.

Flowerbearers were Mmes. Margie Britt, Jewell Burney, Sadie Faircloth, Evelyn
Herring, Lillian Davis, Maizelle David, Mildred Rozier, Annie Lee Stone and
Coleen Lamb.

of Jennett Cook and Henry Taylor, brother of Lemuel, Lucia, and Nancy Taylor of
the Burnt Islands, Robeson, North Carolina.

Married: 09 May 1906: Rosa Lee McPhail, daughter of John Lewis McPhail & Mattie
Branch.

Children of Henry Taylor & Rosa Lee McPhail are: John Marion Taylor, Henry
Thomas Taylor, 
Alice Gertrude, William Abner, Mattie Louise, Charles Durham, Mary Lee, Franklin
Arwood, Ralph Carr, Elmer Maurice, and Rosa Taylor.
