The subject of this sketch was born on May 6, 1833 and died March 26, 1906. Her life was simple, pure and sweet; her disposition was characterized by gentleness and modesty. Giving herself early to her Lord and the Baptist Church at Antioch she grew in those Christian Graces which have made woman God's noblest creature. Aunt Polly never married but enjoyed the honor, respect adn love so well merited from all who knew her. She was the last of her father's family and at the time of her death was residing with her nephew Mr. E. T. Taylor, who with his good wife, was as kind to her as anyone could wish for. Aunt Polly has gone to her reward, and no doubt has to her entire satisfaction awakened of her Lord whom she loved and served. The daughter of Lemuel Taylor and his wife Elizabeth Phillips daughter of Jordan Phillips and Hester Lee. Mary Taylor was the youngest child of her father her brothers and sisters being.
